Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use realityshaping.in — including the pattern quiz, emails, and booking a discovery call.
It’s written to be read rather than skimmed past. If anything here isn’t clear, write to me at support@prettykapoor.com and I’ll explain it properly.
Who I am
Preeti Kapoor (“I”, “me”, “my”) runs Reality Shaping at realityshaping.in.
- Contact for anything in this policy: support@prettykapoor.com
- Postal address: Available on request at support@prettykapoor.com
- Grievance contact: Preeti Kapoor, support@prettykapoor.com
I decide what information is collected here and why, which makes me the data fiduciary (under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) and the data controller (under the UK and EU GDPR, where those apply to you).
What this site collects, and why
1. The pattern quiz
When you take the quiz, the following is stored:
- your answers to each question
- the pattern the quiz calculated for you
- the date and time you took it
- your name and email address, only if you choose to ask for the full result by email
Why: to show you your result, to send you the fuller version if you asked for it, and — in aggregate and without your name attached — to see which questions are working and improve the quiz.
A note on how I treat these answers. The quiz asks about how you relate to yourself and other people. It is not a clinical or diagnostic assessment and nothing it produces is a medical opinion. But the answers are personal, and I treat them as confidential: they are not published, not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to target ads at you anywhere.
If you don’t give your email, your answers are stored without any way to connect them to you.
2. Emails
If you ask for your result by email, I collect your name and email address.
Asking for your quiz result and agreeing to hear from me later are two separate choices. You can take the first without the second. If you do opt in to hear from me, every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately — you don’t have to give a reason.
3. Booking and paying for a discovery call
- your name, email, mobile number and anything you choose to write in the booking form are stored by this website (in Google Firebase) so my team can contact you
- your payment is handled by Razorpay
I never see or store your full card details. Those go to the payment processor directly. I see only a confirmation that payment succeeded, plus whatever the processor shows me (typically the last four digits, and the amount and date).
4. Anything you send me
Emails, messages, and anything you write in a form are kept so I can reply and keep track of our conversation.
5. Site analytics
This site does not use analytics or tracking cookies.
What I will never do
- Sell your information to anyone.
- Share your quiz answers with advertisers, or use them to target ads at you.
- Add you to a mailing list because you booked a call or bought something. That’s a separate choice you make yourself.
- Use anything you tell me in a session as marketing material — including anonymised examples — unless you’ve specifically said yes to that, in writing, separately.
Who else handles your information
I use a small number of services to run this. Each sees only what it needs:
| Service | What it handles | Where it processes data |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | hosting the website itself | United States |
| Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) | storing quiz answers, booking requests and email preferences | India (Mumbai) |
| Resend | sending the result email and booking emails | United States |
| Razorpay | taking payment | India |
These are service providers acting on my instructions. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Some of them process data outside India. Where that happens, I rely on the provider’s own safeguards for international transfers — standard contractual clauses or equivalent. You can ask me for details of any specific one.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it — a court order, or a legal obligation I can’t refuse. If that ever happens and I’m permitted to tell you, I will.
How long things are kept
| What | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Quiz answers with your name attached | 24 months from when you took it, or until you ask me to delete them |
| Quiz answers with no name attached | Indefinitely, as aggregate statistics — these cannot be traced back to you |
| Email details | Until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days apart from a minimal record that you unsubscribed, so I don’t accidentally email you again |
| Booking and payment records | 8 years, because tax and accounting rules require it |
| Emails and messages | 3 years from our last contact |
| Session notes, if you become a client | As long as my professional standards require — ask me and I’ll tell you the exact period |
Your rights
Whoever and wherever you are, you can:
- Ask what I hold about you, and get a copy.
- Correct anything that’s wrong or out of date.
- Ask me to delete it. I’ll do this unless I’m legally required to keep something — invoices, for instance.
- Withdraw consent at any time, for anything you consented to. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it was. It doesn’t undo what was done while the consent was in place.
- Complain if you think I’ve handled your information badly.
If you’re in India, the DPDP Act also lets you nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to act for yourself. Email me if you’d like to do that.
If the UK or EU GDPR applies to you, you additionally have the right to object to certain processing, to ask for processing to be restricted, and to receive your data in a portable format.
To use any of these: email support@prettykapoor.com. I’ll reply within 7 days and complete the request within 30 days. There’s no charge.
If I get it wrong: write to my grievance contact above first — I’d genuinely rather fix it directly. If that doesn’t resolve it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or, if the GDPR applies to you, your local supervisory authority (the ICO in the UK).
Cookies
This site uses only what it needs to work — remembering your place in the quiz while your browser tab is open, and keeping the site secure. Nothing here tracks you across other websites, so no consent banner is needed.
Children
This site and everything on it is for adults. It’s not directed at anyone under 18, and I don’t knowingly collect information from under-18s.
If you believe a child has given me their information, email support@prettykapoor.com and I’ll delete it.
Keeping things secure
Information is stored on services that encrypt data in transit and at rest. Access is limited to me and, where strictly necessary, my web developer under a confidentiality obligation.
No system is perfectly secure, and I won’t claim otherwise. If a breach happens that puts you at risk, I’ll tell you and the relevant authority as quickly as I can.
Coaching and hypnotherapy clients
This policy covers the website. If you become a client, the confidentiality of our sessions is a separate and stricter arrangement, covered by the client agreement you receive before we start.
What you say in a session is not stored on this website, is not connected to your quiz result, and is not used for any marketing purpose.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects you meaningfully, I’ll update the date at the top and — for anything significant — tell you by email if you’ve agreed to hear from me.
